But then comes an economic crisis with interest rates at 25% – a tough challenge for the young company. Only by selling machines and property is it able to make it through this difficult period.
Betonform presents itself at the Bolzano trade fair and expands its product range: hexagonal exposed aggregate concrete planters conquer the market and open up new opportunities.
The company faces a major challenge, but the family grows closer together. With renewed commitment, the children Anton, Evi, and Christian join the business, bringing fresh energy and ideas. Together, they lay the foundation for a successful future.
With innovative products like spoon-shaped blocks and table tennis tables, major success is achieved. After years of hard work, the effort pays off – Betonform grows and records a profit for the first time!
Five trade fair appearances across Italy give the company new momentum. Betonform is one of the pioneers of the first Arredo Urbano fair in Verona – alongside Euroform and Maer.
Now things really take off: revenue grows significantly every year.
Betonform’s electrical enclosures are in high demand. To keep up, the production hall is expanded.
Anton, Evi, and Christian become shareholders – and Christian takes over management of the family business as managing director.
With the new north hall (800 m²), the production area continues to grow.

To meet the rising demand for spoon-shaped blocks, a branch is established in Medesano – supported by sales expert Enea Canepari.

Betonform continues to grow: BWR is founded and Johann Gartner becomes its president.
With the entry into noise barrier production and the introduction of a predecessor model of Erdox, the portfolio expands.

With the founding of Abesca Europe (together with six partners), the New Jersey product line is launched. However, a clash with a supplier leads to a fresh start with an in-house developed Erdox line.
